THE MAPLE PROJECT is a collaboration between designers and culinary professionals to explore innovative uses for maple syrup as part of a federal grant. As a product design intern at the FIX, my responsibilities included designing and fabricating product prototypes, material exploration, conducting research and user testing, adapting and developing recipes, and photographing our collective progress for web documentation. Joining forces with Jon Nardis, JWU Baking and Pastry '19, we designed a brand of kid-friendly kits that explore maple as a delicious and sustainable food material.
